Angel Policy

"The reason angels can fly is because they take themselves lightly." ~G.K. Chesterton

Just had an interesting chat on Etsy with some sellers in the Alberta Street Team. I mentioned the Angel Policy idea and there is definately some mixed feelings about it. I thought I would post what I've compiled - by no means a complete listing, but at least it's a start! Feel free to print this off.

  1. Thanks for compiling this, it's really helpful. I often wonder about things. Sometimes I feel that when buying a punch, you're buying a tool...but I understand there's a point where it is no longer a tool but the loss of control over someone else's design.

  2. I have the feeling that if they sold the thing in the first place as a tool (punches, stamps, paper) then poof! goes their copyright. But I guess I'm not the law on that. I understand the idea of getting upset if someone takes your art and makes more money than you did with it. Perhaps that is their issue? Not sure.
